Weyarn is half way between Munich and Rosenheim, and therefore in one of the most interesting landscapes in Germany and the entire Alpine region. The fantastic, natural landscape is a true playground for hikers, cyclists and athletes in any discipline. Surrounded by green meadows, Weyarn is just a hop, skip and a jump north of Tegernsee and Schliersee, two of the most coveted attractions in the Alpine foothills. In the winter, the nearby mountains entice you to go skiing. Idyllic, small villages such as our home of Weyarn and the beautiful historical locations such as Munich provide all kinds of architectural sights and living tradition and culture.
If you would like to visit some of the most beautiful places in southern Germany while on holiday, Weyarn is a excellent base. Many of the most coveted holiday locations in Bavaria, such as Tegernsee with the spa and the monastery of the same name and Schliersee are just 30 minutes from the hotel. The mountain sports paradise of Garmisch, where the Zugspitze is located, can be reached in just over an hour. The world-famous Neuschwanstein Castle is also less than 2 hours away to the west.

Sights such as the Frauenkirche, the Viktualienmarkt or the English Garden provide unforgettable moments. Due to the many unique locations in the city, Munich is visited by more international tourists than any other German city every year. The biggest party in the world, the renowned Munich Oktoberfest, has also made the city famous worldwide.
There are numerous golf courses in the region. You can drive to two top class golf courses in less than 15 minutes, Golf Valley and the Mangfalltal Golf Club. Take a break with a relaxed round of golf, and enjoy the unique panorama of the nearby Alps. A network of cycle paths give you the opportunity to take enchanting cycling tours through meadows and woods, and past idyllic villages and hamlets. More serious athletes will find numerous mountain biking and climbing tours in the nearby Wetterstein Mountains, whatever the level of difficulty.
Our guests are drawn to the nearby ski slopes of Spitzingsee-Tegernsee or the famous Zugspitze at Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Within an hour or so’s drive you will reach multiple large winter sports regions and some of the ski regions and runs with the highest likelihood of snow in the northern Alps. The elevation and the special climate of the region often extend the ski season well into the spring.
